January
Girls who grind are back.
The Girls are Back in Town. New Guest Coffee.
We’re very happy to welcome back Girls Who Grind to the guest grinder, with their natural Brazilian coffee, Girl Crush.
Our first collaboration with Girls Who Grind went down incredibly well, so much so that we decided to stock their coffees permanently on the Folk shop shelves.
Girls Who Grind are and all-female speciality coffee roastery, working with women producers and roasting coffee themselves with a clear aim of helping create a more equal and inclusive coffee industry. It’s a story we’re proud to support, and a coffee we genuinely love serving.
In the cup, expect smooth, comforting flavours with notes of silky milky chocolate, nougat and praline, rounded with a gentle red fruit finish. Balanced, easy-drinking and well suited to everyday coffee moments.
Girl Crush will now be served as standard with every flat white and filter brew, and is always available by request with any espresso-based beverage. If you’d like to enjoy it at home, you’ll find whole beans on the shop shelves, and our barista team can grind for your specific home brewing methods.
Dry January?
January Drinks, Done Properly
January doesn’t have to mean missing out. At Folk, it’s about choosing drinks that feel just as considered, indulgent and well made - with the added benefit of doing you some good.
We have a variety of wellness-led drinks, each chosen for it’s depth of flavour and quality ingredients. They’re drinks to slow down with, to enjoy alongside food, or to savour on their own - all without compromising on experience.
Botivo is bold, bittersweet and botanical, built around slow-grown herbs and roots with a long savoury finish. It’s a complex and grown-up, ideal over ice as a refined aperitif.
Mother Root brings warming ginger and layered spice, restorative and full-bodied. Comforting yet lively, it’s a drink with real presence, satisfying in the way a well made cocktail should be.
Veto: Pause or Play, alcohol-free caffeine beer that delivers the crisp familiarity of a cold beer with a clean lift. Brewed for focus and balance rather than buzz, it’s a refreshing option when you want something social.
All are available o the menu, or to take home with you from our Folk Shop.
Lattes & Pilates
Lattes & Pilates - A Very Good Combination
We’re pleased to welcome The Pilates Vault to the Fornham Business Court Neighbourhood. A new reformer pilates studion run by Sharon and her incredible team.
Focused on strength, control and considered movement, The Pilates Vault offers expertly led classes in a calm, supportive setting right opposite Folk. With an emphasis on good form and individual progress, it’s a space designed for both those new to pilates and those looking to deepen their practise.
Having a studio next door feels like a natural fit. Thoughtful movement followed by nutritious food, or a post class caffeine boost provides an easy rhythm that sits comfortably alongside the way we like to do things at Folk.
We’re so glad to have The Pilates Vault as part of the local community and look forward to seeing it become a familiar part of many daily routines amongst our staff and customers.
New year - new menu
New Year. New Menu.
We’re starting the year with a fresh new menu, shaped by flavours we love and the things you’ve been asking for most. From 27th January, you’ll find a mix of new dishes alongside familiar favourites, all designed to be enjoyed at any pace, whether you’re popping in for coffee or settling in for a long, lazy brunch.
To start the day, there’s a soft and gently spiced French toast, served with ginger mascarpone and hibiscus poached pears, bringing a little warmth and colour to the plate. Alongside it sits bright and comforting toasted honey and ginger loaf with Greek yoghurt, poached pink rhubarb and blood oranges, served all day.
We listened, a true Folk favourite makes it’s return this season. Bacon, Halloumi & Chilli Jam is back where it belongs. Crispy, salty, sweet and just the tiniest bit spicy - exactly as you remember it. Choose your style with a JP, salad, sandwich or toastie.
After the love shown to one of our recent specials, we’re also very happy to say that a proper bagel option is now Folk official. Our reuben bagel, filled with saurekraut, gherkins and Russian dressing has earned its place on the menu and is here to stay.
We can’t wait to welcome you in from 5th January to revisit what you’ve missed, try what's new from 27th, and spend a little time with us at Folk.
