Folk Mugs RESTOCKED
Our bestselling Folk mugs have landed back on our shelves.
Each one is handcrafted in Suffolk by the wonderfully talented Lars at Soendergaard. Years spent behind the wheel have honed a level on consistency that’s hard to believe until you see him at work - every mug shaped by hand, every one beautifully made.
After a career in mass-produced porcelain, Lars swapped factory life for a quieter corner of Suffolk. Thankfully for us, he was also happy to embrace Folk’s sense of humour and start putting boobs and willies on mugs.
A couple of the team recently spent the morning with Lars in his studio workshop, watching our latest batch come to life. Seeing the care, skill and craftsmanship behind every mug made us appreciate then even more.
They’re back in the shop now… but they never hang around for too long.
Coffee, But Make It Fizzy
A little bit of coffee, a little bit of fizz, and a whole lot of refreshment.
Our Espresso Tonic is made with our current guest coffee, La Leona from OddKin, a beautifully sweet and balanced Colombian coffee produced by Luz Helena Salazar.
The coffee brings bright citrus notes and a subtle brown sugar sweetness, which works rather nicely with crisp tonic and a generous squeeze of lemon. Served over ice, it’s refreshing, zingy and just the right amount of unexpected.
Think coffee meets lemonade, but considerably more grown up.
If you’re looking for a different kind of caffeine hit, this one’s worth a try.
Folk in Suffolk Story
We’re incredibly proud to feature in Suffolk Story, a beautiful new book by Adam Tully and Hannah Dewar celebrating the people, places and producers that make Suffolk’s food and drink scene so special.
More than just a cookbook, it’s a collection of stories from across the county, shining light on the passion, craft and community behind some of Suffolk’s favourite independents.
As a part of the book, we share the story of Folk (and yes, our much-loved carrot cake recipe has made the cut too).
Whether you’re looking for inspiration in the kitchen or simply love discovering the people behind the places, Suffolk Story is well worth a spot of your coffee table.

Meet Bright Bloom
Some of you might recognise Bright Bloom from our Shop Small Saturdays.
Jasmin first joined us as one of our guest makers, and it didn’t take long for her colourful collection of totes, wash bags and tableware to become a firm favourite. You loved her work so much, if felt only right to make Bright Bloom a permanent part of the Folk shelves.
Every piece starts with Jasmin’s love of bold patterns and thoughtful design. Many of the fabrics are hand block printed, giving each item it’s own character, with little variations that only come from making things by hand.
It’s exactly the kind of small independent business we love to champion, and we’re so please Bright Bloom has found a home at Folk.
