Louise Tappin Artwork

Louise Tappin is a London based artist known for her colourful, evocative paintings of flowers and floral patterns.

Working primarily with acrylics she exudes her love of colour and patterns into her work with charismatic brushstrokes and bold hues.

Drawing on her experience as a textile designer for the fashion industry, Louise's paintings bring together her love for flowers, pattern and colour in a vibrant take on the floral still life.

We are proud to be showcasing her work here at Folk, you can find her pieces dotted around our main space as well as hanging up in our private dining room.

To find out more about Louise and her beautiful work visit her Instagram page here.

MOther root

Mother Root is the alcohol-free aperitif that redefines drinking for pleasure, and you can find it stocked here in the Folk shop (as well as on the menu!)

The founder, Bethan, spent 10 years working in the wine and luxury spirits industry. When she was pregnant with her first child, she saw how real the need was for something special for non-drinkers.

Bethan uses benefit-rich apple cider vinegar and fresh, natural ingredients - simply pair with a tonic or soda and a sprig of rosemary and you’re guaranteed a flavour experience that tastes good and makes you feel good too. It comes in two different sizes; 280ml which has 10 servings and 400ml which serves 20.

Folk winter nights

And before you know it, Summer has come to a halt and the Winter evenings are creeping in… but fear not! We are officially hosting our very own ‘Winter Nights’ taking place at Folk to bring you a warm, festive evening full of great music, quality food and a variety of tempting tipples.

Our first event is on Saturday 9th November with local, feasty food from Wild Things and live music from singer/songwriter Jess Davey. Expect an evening full of mulled wine, hot choccys and all round good festive vibes. Everyone welcome and free entry on the door.

If you can’t make this event then keep your eyes peeled for our second Folk Winter Nights on Saturday 14th December.

Check out our Events Page for more info.

Folk CHilli Jam

Made in house by our incredible chefs, our chilli jam is now on the shelves in our shop ready to be taken home with you.

This popular staple is used in many of the dishes on our menu, it consists of a delightful combination of sweet and spicy which makes for a perfect sandwich condiment or dolloped on the side of your plate for dipping. If you can resist keeping it for yourself, it would be a lovely addition to a hamper or just an extra little gift for that foody lover we all know, especially with Christmas fast approaching!

Packaged in recycled glass ready to be re-used when you have finished. Shelf life of 3 months (although I’m not sure you will need that long!!)

Rusty Letters

New in the shop! Our very own rusted letters cut from steel, guaranteed to bring a unique and vintage charm to any space.

They can be used inside, outside, hung up on your wall or free standing on the fire place. Wherever you choose to place them, they are sure to add a bit of character. Great for spelling out a house name, initials for the newly wedded couple or to simply add a touch of rustic decor.

They are a firm favourite here and you can see them featured inside Folk above the bar and also alongside Willow House. We have two sizes to choose from (height approx 6” and 10”) so you can choose your own to take home.  We think they’re a steel ;)
